- Day 1: Arrival in Katunayake Airport - Negombo
Upon arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Negombo, a lively coastal town located close to the airport. Negombo, known for its beautiful beaches, Dutch influence, and colorful markets, offers a great starting point for your Sri Lankan adventure. After settling into your hotel, you can choose to take a walk along the beach or explore the local markets and taste some delicious seafood. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your own pace.
- Day 2: Negombo - Sigiriya - Sigiriya Village Tour
Begin your journey towards the heart of Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage. First stop will be Sigiriya, the famous rock fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its historical significance and stunning views. Take the opportunity to climb to the summit and enjoy the breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape. Once you descend, you will experience a traditional village tour nearby. Here, you will explore the lush paddy fields, enjoy a bullock cart ride, and have a memorable experience boating on a lake surrounded by tranquil countryside. - Day 4: Kandy - Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - Nuwara Eliya
The morning is dedicated to exploring the city of Kandy. You can visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the city’s most revered shrine, which houses a sacred tooth of Buddha. Afterwards, take a walk around Kandy Lake and the surrounding gardens or visit the bustling local markets filled with crafts and souvenirs. - Day 6: Nuwara Eliya - Ella
After breakfast, proceed to Ella, a charming village known for its breathtaking natural beauty and serene atmosphere. The drive to Ella offers stunning views of cascading waterfalls, tea plantations, and lush green valleys. Once you arrive, you can take a walk through the scenic town, trek to nearby viewpoints such as Little Adam’s Peak, and admire the natural landscape. Alternatively, you can visit the famous Nine Arches Bridge, a remarkable feat of colonial-era engineering, or simply enjoy the peaceful vibe of the village.
- Day 7: Ella - Departure
On your last day, travel back to Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake for your departure. Reflect on the incredible experiences and memories you have made while discovering the cultural heritage, natural beauty, and warm hospitality of Sri Lanka.
